Transformational Education & Training

James has a long history of working in the classroom in a myriad of instructional settings, from teaching instrumental music at the elementary school level to conducting intense, “in-vivo” training exercises to high-risk-of-capture military professionals. As an adjunct professor, James is comfortable with formal academic settings and yet has nearly two decades of teaching experience in the corporate arena. His diverse background and extensive experience combined with his professional network and highly collaborative approach mean Regulus Group can bring you out-of-the-box approaches to your training requirements that will engage and inspire your employees toward life-changing results.

Duty & Honor

James’ military career was principally spent in providing specialized survival training, repatriation, and operational support to high-risk-of-capture military personnel enabling isolated persons to return with honor; this mission was grounded in the moral imperative that life is sacred.

Regulus Group carries that imperative forward in its message of “Heart and Courage,” which represents a passionate pursuit to balance empathy and compassion with the need for personal safety and security. We can all make a difference.

Why the Name “Regulus”

Regulus is the brightest star in the constellation Leo…it is the “Heart of the Lion.”  Working inside the issues of interpersonal violence, trauma, and workplace violence is challenging.  Successfully influencing behavior and attitudes around these topics means inspiring heart and courage and doing that in a way that inspires… through beauty, simplicity, and truth. We chose a name for our company that will remind us – and hopefully others – of our commitment to these principles; to bring life and hope.

If you look after truth and goodness,

beauty looks after herself.
